Annie the Baker
One day in the fall of 2009, Annie walked into the deli with a small box of sample cookies. We get a lot of people bringing by samples (it's one of the tough things about the job) and while I am usually skeptical, something about this lady made me more interested than with most. Well all it took was one bite of one of Annie's cookies and I was sold! Now a deli favorite, Yountville resident Annie the Baker started her cookie company after five years as a pastry chef at the famed Mustards Grill. Right now we carry her Toffee Milk Chocolate, Tuxedo Macadamia Nut and Chocolate Chip cookies.

Hurley's Restaurant
Chef Bob Hurley's eponymous restaurant in the center of Yountville is a local's favorite. It's a perfect spot for experiencing why wine country cuisine is famous -- yet it's at a surprisingly affordable price. We highly suggest the patio on a sunny day or checking out the late night bar menu starting at 9pm.

Bistro Jeanty
This is not just another Cal-French restaurant that one can find all over California ... Bistro Jeanty is the real deal. A three time Michelin award winner, Chef Phillipe Jeanty melds classic French cuisine with a casual, homey feel that keeps us coming back. We particularly crave the tomato soup, daube de boeuf, cassoulet and coq au vin -- plus the bone marrow, a semi-regular special. Amazingly our kids devour the sole meuniere! Bistro Jeanty shares the same parking lot as Yountville Deli.

Hill Family Estate
Our neighbors just to the north on Washington Street next to Bistro Jeanty, the Hill Family Estate is just that -- a true family business. You will often find father Doug Hill or son Ryan Hill at the tasting room along with their great staff. All of their wines are good and we particularly gravitate towards their reds like Syrah and blends such as the Barrel Blend and Origin wines.

Miss Jenny Cupcakes
Miss Jenny's Cupcakes are on sale at the deli -- well, using the word cupcakes is a bit of a misnomer ... they are rice krispie treats with peanut butter and wacky candy toppings in the shape of a cupcake. Miss Jenny also is a musician who regularly appears singing for the kids at the Napa Chef's Market on Thursday nights during the summer and is on NapaTV Mondays at 6pm on Comcast Channel 28.

Mars Lasar Photography (& Music)
Starting in June 2010, the deli features Napa Valley photography by Mars Lasar. Mars is actually a professional musician and an amateur photographer -- at least that's what he says. Needless to say, his photographs of the valley are stunning. Come to the deli to see them in person or check out his website. They are for sale in case you are wondering.

Ad Hoc
Yountville is truly a mecca for great food. I hestitate to point anyone out over another as they are all so good. But there's something about Ad Hoc that stands out to us. One of Thomas Keller's restaurants in Yountville, Ad Hoc has the creative food you'd expect but with a casual atmosphere, great staff and generally more traditionally American inspired cuisine. Like the French Laundry, the prix fixe meal is set each night without menu choices (in this case, four courses versus the Laundry's 9+). What I honestly suggest is going the night the menu sounds least interesting to you -- that is when you are most likely to be surprised and impressed.

Linda Jenkins Design
Linda Jenkins helped us design the interior of the deli during our major renovation in 2009. She was great at listening to our needs, working within a limited budget and creating a great plan. I need not say more -- the proof is in how great the deli now looks!

Folia Design
Julia Allen of Folia Design in Napa helped us create our new brand look. Again, I'd say that the quality of the work speaks louder than my words.
